Thing One

Thing One…Turned Two, so a bash is what we had to do!  And quite the bash it was!  Connor's Mom makes me look sane when it comes to party throwing, she's crazy.  She also helps my debates with my husband over storing party junk but I think we've come to the conclusion now that I should just store my party junk at her house because unlike my husband her husband is not bothered by the millions of mason jars, glass bowls and tissue covered items.  You see Chad thinks I'm going to end up having a hoarding problem like my Mom (just to clarify Mom, CHAD said you have a problem…not me.  He's not so perfect after all eh?).  Personally I don't see a problem with keeping a few party items at my disposal seeing as though we have plenty of storage space...oh and because it's MY HOUSE TOO.  Anyway I'll get back to the real topic here, Connor's party.  Connor's birthday is in October so he is destined to have Halloween themed parties for the rest of his life.  This is good and bad in my mind, good because it's a guaranteed fun theme bad because that means I will always have to have costumes ready early!  And by "I", I really mean whoever I have roped into making my costumes for that given year!  We made it though, by the hair on our chinny chin chin.  And the party was a blast!  Happy Birthday Connor, thanks for having us at your party!

This year Nolan wanted to be Wolverine.  Here is about the only picture I got of him in his costume on this particular day.  He was hot and he broke one of his claws within the first five minutes of being there so he turned into kid in a skeleton t-shirt instead!

On the other hand Bennett, who I thought would want NOTHING to do with dressing up, LOVED his costume and wouldn't take it off.  He was stomping around that pumpkin patch like he owned the place and if the head of his costume fell down he would get mad and immediately pull it back up.  Him and Violet were "Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf", and they could not have been any cuter.

Here is Connor (Thing One) blowing out his candle.  He could not have been any cuter, this kid soaks up the attention like a sponge and performs like the best of them!  Awesome day, Awesome Party!
