It's also a pretty fun place for the adults, at points I couldn't decide if Matt was the parent or the child…he was as cooperative with my camera as the children that's for sure!

One with Nature
Friday Fun Days…ahhhh. Beautiful weather, a cute little group of boys, some excellent adult company and lots and lots of fun with nature that's what made up our Friday Playdate this week. My sister in law had taken her kids to this new park, and when I saw pictures of it I knew I needed to check it out. It is pretty awesome I'm not gonna lie. They have a "nature classroom" that consisted of all kinds of different little stations. Music, Art, Sand, Building, Balancing, Water…etc etc. The boys had a great time as did the adults. At one point I even let Bennett get out of his stroller to explore nature a bit, and by explore I mean eat whatever he found on the ground basically. It was a short-lived exploration for Mr. B. Nolan's favorite part was finding a "Ninjago hat"…which I believe was actually some sort of dried acorn or shell of some sort? No clue, but add a sword and I had a very happy little Ninja.
It's also a pretty fun place for the adults, at points I couldn't decide if Matt was the parent or the child…he was as cooperative with my camera as the children that's for sure!

Little Finger
Oh this kid, he has me totally wrapped around his little finger. Though I admit, and admit often, that he is more demanding than Nolan ever was he is still a pretty darn good baby. He is just ACTIVE with a capital A. If he is awake he wants to be movin' and groovin', but if he is movin' and groovin' he is a happy boy. I can always count on him to throw me one of his little grins right when I need one most, and this is why he can do no wrong in my eyes!

Pool is Open
Memorial Day = Swimming. End of story. I can't remember the last Memorial Day weekend that did not involve me in the water in some form or fashion. This year was no different. We invaded Grandma and Grandpa's pool…and brought a bunch of people along for the ride. You'll notice as the pictures go on that our crowd changes a bit…the two stars of the blog (Nolan and Bennett) the only constants! We even had some kiddos there that somehow managed to escape my camera! I'll get them next time…now it's like a challenge!
And just for kicks, because I haven't done one in a while, here is a little comparison picture. This also proves to Chad that YES I do actually re-use some (not all…but some) of Nolan's clothes!! This might actually be a reason not to re-use them because I'm pretty sure I won't be able to figure out who is who in about 15 years but I would never forget which clothes I bought for each of them…yes?

Family Pics
Yep, that's right. I made them do it, I made them take family pictures. I planned them for Mother's Day weekend so that Chad really couldn't tell me no, sometimes I really think I am a genius. I hired Mel with Serendipity Photography to capture our little family of four. I'm a big fan of candid shots and she totally came through. I can't lie, Bennett was not having it AT ALL on this particular day because as it turns out he was actually quite sick and I feared she wouldn't be able to get any good shots. But in true Mel fashion she totally delivered. Next time I will make sure all of my children have a clean bill of health the day of the shoot and perhaps we can get a few more smiles out of the little guy.

Tastes Like Lobster
Memorial Day weekend some friends of ours had a Crawfish Boil. It never failed every time one of the guys walked inside the house and tried to convince the ladies to try these delectable creatures they would say "they taste like lobster". Like that was going to convince us to dig right in. I'll admit I never actually took the plunge, but I heard they were pretty good…I'm certainly not convinced they tasted like lobster though.
I was inside with the little guy most of the evening and totally forgot I even had my camera with me until it was basically too late. So yes there were actually a lot more people at this party than just Steve but he happened to be doing a little dining when I needed my photo opportunity, lucky guy.

And here are SOME of the little rugrats, that's right I said SOME. I think we are officially starting to get outnumbered by ankle-biters.
What happened to our lives?
