Gulf Shores...Day 2
Day two brought more swimming, some bean bag tossing and dinner out on the town. Quite frankly Nolan and Bennett would pick the pool over the ocean every time . It helped that this particular pool was shallow enough that Nolan could touch the bottom of the entire pool. And Bennett just wanted to JUMP JUMP JUMP. So needless to say we had a lot of pool time while we were on vacation. I joked before we left that we should just spend the week at Grandma's house with her pool...I wasn't really kidding. The ocean was also infested with Sharks while we were there (that's a slight exaggeration maybe...kind of...not really) so I was A-Ok with the boys choosing the pool a little bit more too! Whatever makes the little fish happy...

Gulf Shores...Day 1
That's right, this is the official beginning of our vacation pictures. Woot Woot! Buckle up, it's going to be a long ride! We got back yesterday from Gulf Shores, Alabama. We spent the week there with Chad's family. That's 20 people sharing one home for those counting at home. Lucky for us it was a very large home with lots of bedrooms...and bathrooms! So all was well with the world. We had an amazing time. Awesome accommodations, incredible weather and the company wasn't too shabby either. Our kids are EXHAUSTED from a week with their cousins, but they had an absolute blast and were quite entertained by all the other kiddos (which makes it a little lot easier on Mom and Dad).
I'm just going to start from the top and go day by day here. When we all got to the house on Saturday we went straight to the beach (after the very LOOOOOOONG trip to the Piggly Wiggly that is...and the alcohol store who are we kidding?). The kids had their fair share of energy to burn from the car ride.
Last year Bennett was not a fan of the ocean, this year he liked it a bit more. First day and he was already cleaning his hands off in the ocean with Uncle Bill...it was a good sign! The kids explored the beach finding "treasures" and building sandcastles, while others "napped". Perfection at it's finest.

Memorial Day
We actually went to the lake for Memorial Weekend this year, but I forgot my camera. So you're stuck with just a few pictures from our day at the pool on Monday with the Barbagallos. Don't worry, there are only a few and you'll understand why by the end of the post. There I go with that exciting foreshadowing again.
Yep that's all the pictures. Want to know why? Sure you do. Nolan got out of the water to eat lunch, so he came over to the chairs to grab a towel. Problem is my camera was wrapped up in said towel as to "protect it". Obviously that idea backfired when my camera went flying out of the towel on to the very very hard concrete floor. And that was the end of that camera...and lens. I'm mainly sharing this story as a sort of PSA: Do not wrap camera in towel and leave on chair at a child's reach.
There I've done my part to help society. Now off to the camera store ;).

T-Ball
The day finally came, after a MONSTROUS countdown the first day of T-Ball was here! THANK THE LORD! Nolan has been anxiouly awaiting this day for months...months people. This is an instructional league so he was a wee bit disappointed when he realized he wouldn't be playing a game on this particular day, but he was a trooper nonetheless. I didn't want to be "that Mom" that ran out on the field to take her precious baby's picture so all of these are from behind the fence and really far away. Maybe one of these days I'll be more brave and just go on in. Chad will LOVE that!
Oh and don't forget this guy, this is who I was dealing with off the field...
