Pumpkin Carving

Just trying to prove my kids are not deprived, we are still doing all of the "fun" holiday activities around here!  Bennett was pretty pumped about Pumpkin Carving this year, Nolan well Nolan humored us for a little bit an picked out a template and stuck some holes into his pumpkin.  That's about all I can ask of him for this particular activity.  He probably would have preferred if I just let him go outside and smash it (light bulb idea...next year).  Anyway, I failed again this year I didn't even get a picture of the finished products.  And to be honest I can't even remember what they picked!  I feel like Nolan's had something to do with baseball, perhaps the MLB logo?  And Bennett...I got nothing.  I'm sorry Bennett, already a victim of being the middle child.  If it helps I don't know what we did for Everly either.  It very well might just have been a regular Jack-O-Lantern face.  But I do know this, I know just how this activity ended...just like it does every year.  The Dad's standing around finishing the pumpkins that the kids lost interest in and they look HAPPY about it!

City Museum

My brother and his family came in town to meet Everly so we decided to take them to our favorite attraction...the City Museum.  This place is sooooo much fun, but soooo much work keeping up with all of the kids.  Luckily I was really only responsible for the one in the stroller who slept the whole time, #winning.  You'll note I didn't get that many pictures, I guess I just really wasn't on my game on this particular day.  I should steal some of my brother's because I know he got some amazing shots but on this particular day I'm lazy and I'm just ready to get some blogs posted so that I'm not a year behind!  So here is our day at the City Museum, next time I'll take more pictures I swear but just know we had a great time and can't wait to go back!

Trunk-or-Treat

One of our favorite days of the year...Trunk-or-Treat.  But this year it was FREEZING.  I'm talking Chad legit packed up our patio heater and brought it with us.  He is either a big baby himself, or he really loves his baby and didn't want the princess to be too cold.  You be the judge.  We all survived though, little Dorothy included.  The boys did get their fair share of candy, but really they were there to run around and play with their friends.  They stopped by every so often to show proof of life and to drop off loot.  The days of us walking them around to trick-or-treat are long gone.  Again I realized it's a good thing we hit the restart button.  Lucky for us we have about 13 more Trunk-or-Treats in our future!

Pumpkin Patch 2017

This year I decided I was going to get ahead of the crowds at the Pumpkin Patch.  We went SUPER early in October and on like a Monday night.  I thought I was soooooo smart.  And turns out...I totally was.  There was like 1 other family there and we had the run of the whole place!  Unfortunately I think the boys are getting a little old for this type of event, but lucky for them they get to humor me for another few years now because of that precious little sister of theirs!  Next year we might need to find one that at least shoots pumpkin cannons or something though!  You'll see Everly was really loving this adventure.  She basically slept the whole time and then screamed when we put her in the corn boxes.  Oh the memories.
