Valentine's Day

One of the best parts of hitting the reset button in this family is the fact that we've extended our holiday "magic" if you will for a few more years.  I realize this is just Valentine's Day, but I still got to dress a little munchkin up in a heart outfit and that makes my heart happy.  And you know what? She didn't even complain!  Happy Valentine's Day to me!

On Mondays...We Play Dress Up

It's probably no secret that Everly has an abundance of clothing at her disposal.  I like to buy clothes, my mom likes to buy clothes and quite frankly most people when they find out you're having a girl...like to buy clothes!  Believe me I get it, it's fun to finally shop the girl side of the stores.  This particular outfit was a gift from my cousin and I thought it was too cute not to snap a picture in.  She sure is a good subject these days, no moving equals LOTS of Every pictures! 

Showing Off

Everly was getting a little more stable so we decided to try out her Christmas Present.  She snuggled right in and got good and cozy.  The boys both have similar chairs that they too got for their first Christmas and they have seen better days at this point.  I'm hoping we can hide this one from her rough brothers for a while so she can enjoy it for years to come.  But if nothing else we got one decent picture before the chair is confiscated for fort making shenanigans.

Big Girl

We've hit another milestone.  Little Miss can now hold her head up all by herself!  We could not be more proud, nor could she.  She's pretty nosey these days so this new position seems to make her very happy as she can now keep an eye on everything that is going on around her a little more efficiently.  It also means she is enjoying tummy time more as her head is not just planted firmly on the ground anymore.  Life is good for this one.

And just so everyone realizes that "photoshoots" are not all fun and games, I'll just leave this one right here...reality my friends, it's super fun.

Nobody Puts Baby in a Basket...

Or do they?  I was just about to go back to work and decided Everly and I needed one final photo shoot.  At least for now.  So I threw her in a basket and prayed for the best.  I think we got some keepers and our fair share of outtakes as well!

New Years Eve

We had a little bit of a different and a little bit of a traditional New Years Eve this year.  Different because at Midnight we were not with our kids, which I think was a first.  But traditional because we were with all the other same fools we are with every other year!  Can only shake one of the two I suppose!  The kids decided they wanted to hang out with Grandma and Grandpa and one of their cousins, so we had dinner with them and then headed to the Riffee house for a little more celebrating.  Good times as always.

Slime Time

For Christmas my sister in law asked what Bennett might like.  I suggested maybe some supplies to make some legit slime because we had done a few of the store bought kits and lets just say there were a fail.  I knew my sister in law and her kids had perfected the art of slime so I was hopeful they would have some helpful hints/tips.  Enter Bennett's Christmas present.  I mean how cool is this?  And yes, those instructions are laminated people.  Once in a while that sister in law of mine is not so bad, just don't tell her I said that.  We don't want things going to her head.  Anyway, we used our kit (this day and many days after) and I'm happy to report we have passed the Slime Test and have made multiple batches of this amazing goop.  Phew, I mean we couldn't be one of those families that failed at slime. How embarrassing would that be?

Santa Everly

Also, when you turn 3 months old on Christmas it is inevitable that your Mom is going to put a Santa Hat on you and take a picture.  Doesn't she look thrilled?

Christmas Morning 2017

After all the waiting, it was finally here...Christmas Morning!  And it looks like Santa thought this crew was on the good list.  One of the downfalls of blogging a full year later is the fact that I forget a lot of the details.  Good thing I take a lot of pictures (right Chad?).  The boys got the usual, a few video games, a few regular games, some baseball cards etc.  Some of the new additions to the list this year were BB Guns, catcher's gear, fort making supplies and a Basketball Hoop.  Looks to me like they were pretty pumped about their haul.  Meanwhile, all baby sister got was a camera in her face!  That's a lie, she got her fair share of goodies too.  Bennett helped her open all of her presents, and showed her how to use most of them too.  It is pretty different seeing girl stuff on Christmas Morning I will say that, but a different I am really enjoying.  Chad also scored a couple of amazing presents from the kids yet again this year.  Bennett came home all excited one day and he couldn't wait to tell me what he got Chad at the school store.  He's like "Mom, it's this thing you put your phone in and then he can take his own picture".  Chad was the proud owner of a selfie stick!  I mean what better present for Chad?  And he also scored a sweet Super Dad coffee mug.  Meanwhile, I think I got another candle and maybe some lotion.  Chad's presents are always so much more entertaining!      

And just when they thought the fun was over...we sent them on a little scavenger hunt.  Through the house, down the street and at the end...a Basketball Hoop!!
