Sleeping Beauty

I'm warning you now, there will be A LOT of posts of just Everly this year.  This is for multiple reasons, one really important one is that she can't tell me no (yet).  The main reason however is that I'm trying really hard to take just as many pictures of her as I did the boys when they were babies.  I don't want her to grow up and look back through the family photos and be like yep, I was the third kid obviously.  So today's post is another ordinary day hanging out with Mom.  Just to show how she goes from zero to sleeping (anywhere) in about 5 seconds flat.  I mean laying there getting your picture taken IS exhausting.  She's almost 2 months in these pictures for reference, and just as sweet as she looks.

1. That we use the bathroom for reasons other than sleeping.
2. That Everly has overcome her hatred of bathing.
3. That she's just so darn cute sitting there in her tub.

Nobody Puts Baby in the Bathroom

Or do they?  It really isn't as bad as it sounds.  But we figured out very quickly that our bathroom was the perfect place for Ms. Everly to sleep.  It was away from the loudness (read: the boys), it was close enough we could hear her and there was a fan for some lovely white noise.  Everly spent A LOT of time in our bathroom those first few weeks months.  But look how peaceful she was...

Halloween Night

 Halloween this year was pretty chilly.  I debated whether I was even going to dress Everly up, but decided I at least needed to get a picture of her for my collage (see previous post).  EVERY SINGLE YEAR I'm rushing at the last second to try and grab a couple of pictures of the kids (and neighborhood kids) before the sun goes down.  You can imagine how much the kids do not want to participate in this activity at this time because they are ready to sprint to the first house for goodies!  So I get what I get and I don't throw a fit (not a big one anyway).  So I don't have a bunch of pictures but rest assured we had another fun Halloween, with candy we are still eating today (I'm writing this in July).

Halloween Destiny

From the minute I found out I was pregnant I knew exactly what I wanted the baby to be for Halloween.  I know this is a strange thing to think about, but stick with me here.  This costume was 9 years in the making...and I didn't even know it! Let me explain.  When Nolan was a baby he was a lion for his first Halloween.  When Bennett was a baby he was a scarecrow for his first Halloween.  Do you see where this is going?  Maybe not, maybe this was just obvious to me!  So when I found out I was pregnant I knew I was either going to have a Tin Man...or a Dorothy.  And for those of you wondering, NO we will not be trying for a Tin Man.  But here are my little Wizard of Oz characters all together...

I Like Big Bows...and baskets.

Well, now I have this little girl so I figure I might as well live it up a bit.  Never miss an opportunity for a nice photo opp right?  Spoiler Alert...This will not be the last time you will see her in a bow...or a basket.  You'll note she is not always a fan of this activity, but she even looks cute when she is mad so she's in TROUBLE.
