Woodlands Tournament

It's that time of year...Baseball Tournament Time!  We spend most weekends during the spring/summer at Nolan's baseball tournaments at this point and there's really no place we would rather be.  We have super fun families to hang out with and we love watching Nolan do what he loves.  And he loves to play ball.  Don't get me wrong, some days it gets hot...VERY HOT.  But we have become experts at tournament set up, inclusive of a pack n play to trap that little one.  The princess has all she needs to also enjoy her day, don't you worry a second about her.  Also not shown are the fans that were pointing her direction.  It's rough to be her, really rough.

At this particular tournament Chad was asked to step in to help coach as our coach had to go coach his other son's game.  So I got to see two of my boys in action, and you know what...they BOTH did great!  They landed themselves second place!!

Zoo Trip

One Friday I decided to break the boys out of summer camp and take them to the Zoo.  I had one very enthusiastic child and one that decided he would rather go to camp!  Talk about a damaged Mom heart, but don't you worry we stole another little human from camp (didn't really steal, her parents knew I promise) and headed to the Zoo for the day.  I conned my mom into going with us too, you know extra back-up, and we had a lovely time.  I think some of the highlights were definitely feeding the stingrays, meeting the new baby cheetahs and watching the seal show.  To top it off Bennett even lost his first tooth...in his ice cream cone!

Summer Days

A lot of our summer days are spent at the pool, so get used to this scene!  On this particular day we had some friends join us!  The boys were busy playing, but Everly was stuck with Kim and I so again...she got the majority of the camera time!  Cut me some slack though I mean...that hat!

 And this is what a day at the pool does to a 9 month old...(and a 37 year old to be fair).

B's Turn

After watching A LOT of his big brother's baseball games Bennett finally decided he wanted to give it a shot.  Last year at the very end of the baseball season he went to a practice and one game for this team to see if he liked it and after that he was hooked.  He spent the off season preparing for his real debut.  He had decided he wanted to focus on being a catcher so he even got new catcher's gear to really look the part.  And look the part he did.  He proved to be an awesome little catcher and was pretty good at the plate too.  I guess we were destined to have two baseball players in this house after all and we are oh so happy about it!!

Memorial Weekend at the Farm

We had a free Memorial Weekend so we headed up to the farm for some good old country fun.  The boys were truly in their happy place.  Little bit of swimming, little bit of exploring, some BB gun shooting and of course some baby snuggling.  I think we covered it all.  And by covered it all, I mean covered it all in sand.  Sand for dayyyyyyyyyyyyyysssssss.  I just hope we left a little at the farm for next time.

Family Photos

Since I don't torture my family enough with MY camera, I decided I needed to torture them with someone else's camera this time.  Actually, that's a lie.  CHAD decided he wanted to torture the family with family pictures because he actually bought it for me for Mother's Day.  Okay, that's also a lie.  I bought myself family pictures for Mother's Day.  I always know just what I want :), and I was right.  I love it when a plan comes together.  I also love it when my family throws me a bone and listens and smiles for the camera (for the most part).
