The Hall Family

Oh how I love this family.  I've taken their pictures a few times now and they honestly just make me feel so welcome.  I'm talking Whitney holds my hand when we walk through the woods.  Precious right?  And now they have the newest addition, Maggie, who I can already tell has the same happy go lucky disposition as the rest of the family.  This photo shoot was extra special though because Maggie was turning ONE so we also got to do a cake smash session, which just makes my photographer heart explode.  Add in a spunky little girl who couldn't get enough cake...cuteness overload.  Thanks again for having me, hope you enjoy your sneak peak...

Nashville!

Friends listen to what I'm about to say...GO TO NASHVILLE!  Don't think about it, just do it.  I recently went on a little girls trip to Nashville, to say it was fun is the biggest understatement of the year.  Everything worked out perfectly.  As most of you know by now I have a really fun group of girl friends sooooooo I knew that would equal an amazing trip no matter what, but this exceeded expectations for sure.  We got in our mom van on Thursday night (vodka in our cups of course...except the driver I promise) and headed on down.  We got in around 11 and headed straight to the bar.  I mean when in Rome right?
On Saturday we did the Country Music Crawler, which is one of those pedal bikes you ride around while you drink.  We really had no idea what to expect, but oh my goodness was it fun.  We stopped at a few bars along the way and got their specialty shots and while on the bike we played drinking games as we went.  When our time was up we tried to get on for the next tour that's how much we loved it.  But since our negotiating skills weren't up to par and they wouldn't let us back on we decided to head down the road to Tootsies.  Tootsies is one of the I'll say "famous" bars on Broadway.  It has three levels with different bands on each floor.  Again...amazing.  We got to sing and dance the day away, the only disappointment was their lack of Keith Urban song choices (sorry Kim).  At one point we decided to be "responsible adults" and actually eat!  So we headed down the road to Margarittaville got some grub and were on our way. Day 1 complete success.
After our first day out on the town, I was nervous about the next day!  But it seemed that our "day drinking" the day before put us in bed at a reasonable time so we were ready to go on Saturday!  We started the day with a fancy brunch where I wondered why I don't brunch more!  I mean I love breakfast and I love the fact that it is acceptable to have an alcoholic beverage with your meal no matter what time it is!  That's a win/win my friends!  After brunch we headed to Bellemeade Winery which was so beautiful.  Half of the group took a tour of the grounds and half of the group did a food/wine pairing.  I'll give you one guess where I ended up!  I felt almost sophisticated as I swished and gurgled my wine.  After the tours/pairings we met up and enjoyed a bottle (or 8) of wine and even got some personalized cups for everyone because gift shops and drunk girls are an EXCELLENT mix (just ask me about my T-shirt from the Grand Ole Opry...of which I didn't even visit).  Anyway, after the winery we headed back closer to our house and grabbed a little dinner and then we became a little bit of a house divided again.  Some people decided to stay close to home, but some of us had our eyes set on Broadway again.  And to be honest once Julia and I have something in our heads...it's happening.  By the end of the night we were down to just 3 of us, Lauren, Julia and I.  We made it to bar closure and ended the evening with dancing in the street to some dude playing the drums.  Mission Nashville = Complete

This brings our Nashville trip to an end.  I'll spare you the ride home details where we had to stop multiple times for one of the passengers to check out the ditches and the belching that was making the rest of the car sick.  But for the record...I'm not referring to myself (but I might be referring to that girl in the sleeping mask above).  I was content in the backseat with my sleeve of crackers and Gatorade.  That is Hangover Management 101 folks, again...you're welcome.
