Labor Day

We decided last minute to head down to the lake for Labor Day Weekend.  The weather was supposed to be less than desirable, and apparently we are fair weather fans when it comes to lake conditions.  But we decided to head down anyway and as it turns out it was a BEAUTIFUL weekend and we had an awesome time.  We spent some time with both my side of the family and Chad's side of the family so all was well with the world.  There was fishing, swimming, tubing, skiing, eating...and drinking.  Ahhh, the lake.  You just gotta love it!

Now would be the time for Grandma to look away!  Chad decided it was time for Bennett to experience his first tube ride and he also thought it would be a good idea for Nolan to try skiing.  One event was more successful than the other.  I'll let you all decide which...

Don't worry, there is still one Skiing Stud in the family...

Captain Bennett's 3rd Birthday

Mr. B turned 3 recently, and that meant we needed a party.  His birthday happens to be right smack in the middle of the summer heat so the obvious answer was a pool party.  Lucky for me I have a mother and father in law with a beautiful pool!  What a coincidence ;)  We threw in a little pirate theme and we were good to go.  We had a treasure hunt, walked the plank enjoyed some Captain B's Baaaaaar-B-Que and called it a day.  The little Captain was happy (for most of the event), so we consider this a success.  Thanks to all that came out to celebrate and make this day extra special for Mr. B, he sure did ring in his 3rd year in style!

Hall Family

I recently met up with the Hall Family.  Barbie called and asked if we could do family pics at their house this year and thought we could go back in their woods.  I had never been to their house so I really didn't know what these "woods" consisted of but I'm always up for a new location.  Boy am I glad I said yes.  They have an AWESOME area behind their house that would be any kid's dream.  These kids were not strangers to the woods either, they knew exactly where they wanted to take me and all of the secret places to show off.  So cool.  Barbie, don't be surprised if you see me tromping through your woods one day with my boys :)

Evan and Whitney never let me down, they have THE BEST personalities and they bring their smiles along with them.  Always fun to see this family and capture some of their memories.  Here is your sneak peak...
