Lake with Friends

Well we spent last weekend with this group of looney bins, figured we should go for two weeks in a row.  Why not?  This week we decided to head to the Lake of the Ozarks for some more water fun.  We had a great time doing all the lake things.  Tubing, knee boarding, fishing, snorkeling, playing king of the hill on the lily pad, drinking, eating and making fun of each other.  Ahhh, the memories.  These kids were all such troopers and have more energy than the adults can keep up with!  But we tried!  Everly has also proven to be quite the "vacationer" and rolls with all the non-scheduled days where naps are at a scarcity.  She's a keeper that one.

Float Trip And Camping

We decided it was time to take the boys on their first camping/float trip!  We aren't talking the kind of float trip Chad and I have been accustomed to in the past, we are talking a nice wholesome family float trip here.  Less beer...more juice boxes.  We got a variety of canoes and rafts for the crew and the kids bounced from raft to canoe back to raft all day long.  I will say Jessie and I were deemed the "party raft" (maybe we named it that) and we had a lot of little visitors throughout the day.  Might have been the Greatest Showman Soundtrack, might have been our glowing personalities but nonetheless we were in high demand!  I think everyone had a great time and I do believe this will become an annual event.  Good times!!

Mirror Mirror On the Wall

What's cuter than a naked baby in a towel admiring herself in the mirror, not much that's what. Not lacking self-confidence over here that's for sure!

Standing!

More milestones happening around here.  Little Miss has learned how to pull herself up and stand!  Though as you can see she still prefers to sit next to her "standing" toy.  Baby steps, baby steps (literally). 

Show Me Games

Nolan's soccer team went back to the Show Me Games this year and I'm so glad they did.  I have a confession, or a disclaimer rather, I'm always a yes for out of town tournaments for my kids.  Always.  But it has little to nothing to do with the actual sport they are playing and it has everything to do with the fun we have with the families and the fun the kids have with their friends.  They are truly making memories that they will remember forever and it makes me so very happy.  I don't even remember, I think they ended up in Second Place this year.  But they might have had more fun at the park than anything else!  And you know what...that's okay.  They are 9, they should have fun...and that's just what they did (and so did we).
